Locally owned and operated by a female boudoir photographer, Linder & Pine Studios understands the vital need for a safe, inviting space for you and your photography clients. With 1600 square feet of space to shoot in, floor to ceiling windows, a private bathroom, IPS/consult room, hair and makeup and changing room, and plenty of props and natural light to use for your sessions, we have everything you need to create and help your clients feel right at home the moment they step through the studio doors.

Sometimes classics are classics for a reason. Here are five books that helped me hit new goals a portrait photographer, and what I love about them.

Calling all photographers, videographers, podcasters, and small events! Linder & Pine Studios is now open and booking renters in the heart of Meridian!
We have 1600 square feet, gorgeous natural light (especially in the morning), defined getting ready, meeting, shooting and lifestyle spaces, along with an en-suite bathroom. Rentals are available by the hour, day, or through our limited monthly memberships for those shooting consistently.
What will you create?

Want the secret to those gorgeous backlit head shots? Ours is super simple: prop two white v flats up to bounce light onto your client, and sit/stand between them for optimal lighting.
We have v flats and Apple boxes on hand to make this setup easy for our renters. Try it the next time you shoot in the studio.

💻Renters have access to a fully staged, carefully curated creative space complete with four distinct rooms: a meeting room, hair and makeup/getting ready room, the main shooting floor, and a lifestyle bedroom.
💄 Additionally, we have a private ensuite bathroom to ensure your clients are comfortable during wardrobe changes.
☕️Monthly members get access to our fully-stocked mini fridge, snacks and coffee/tea bar.
🖼️Members also get to help us decorate with owner-approved wall art samples, so your clients can get a real picture (see what we did there) of your offerings.

Well hello, dark and moody at Linder & Pine!
While the boho room will be a constant, we’re bringing in seasonal sets. For autumn? Emerald satin sheets and gorgeous velvet backdrop with pops of gold for high contrast vibes. ✨
📸10/10 recommend shooting into the windows for gorgeous backlight.

V-flats!! These babies are worth their weight in gold! Okay, they’re kinda light, so I’m going out on a limb to say they’re worth more than their weight in gold.  You can:
☀️Use them to reflect light back at your subject for gorgeous, focused, back-lit images.
🎭 Flip them to the black side to heighten contrast + add drama.
📷 Use them as backdrops for a faux corner or black box.
🕶️Lay them down, and pop up a corner so your subject can be on the floor. Pro tip: Back light is magic here.
✨ You can angle these puppies to create gorgeous highlights for dramatic detail shots.

Well, hello there. 👋
I’m Sydne Barnett, the proud owner of Linder & Pine Studios here in Meridian!

📷 If I look familiar to a few of you, that’s likely due to my presence in the industry over the last 15 years—or (more likely, given my aversion to social media) my absurd coffee addiction making me a permanent fixture in local shops.

🖊️ If I’m not behind my camera, reading, or writing, you can usually find me chauffeuring my two kiddos from one activity to another, or snuggled up with my man hermit-style in our home.

✨ If the space looks familiar, it should! These beautiful walls have been home to so many of us creatives over the years. When I heard that Studio 870 was closing, my heart broke and my soul stomped a defiant foot and said ‘absolutely not’.
My life was irrevocably changed right here in these walls, many moons ago. So I decided (after much prayer) to take the leap and pay it forward.

🔨 My hubby and I dove in head first and repaired the wear and tear, deep cleaned, and gave this baby a fresh coat of paint before quietly reopening its doors on September 1st. We were immeasurably blessed by the guidance & interior design of its original owner—the ever-talented Makayla Madden. Now that she showed us how to get off the ground, she’s taking a step back, but her love for this community shines through every corner.

🏠 New owners. New name. Familiar gorgeous walls. The heart of this space remains the same; to give creatives a place to do what we do best—come in, make it your own, and make absolute magic—to bring together artists for education and shoot-outs, and for small events and classes to have a landing place they can count on.
In the month since our soft opening, we’ve already played host to newborn, boudoir and family photographers, and a film crew as they produced a short horror film just in time for spooky season.
I cannot wait to see what y’all do next!

Does our space look familiar?

We're located in a beloved space known for the last 7 years as "Studio 870". Previous owner Makayla Madden sold Studio 870 in spring of 2024. In summer of 2025, it was announced that the new owner of Studio 870 would be shutting down the studio due to a move across the country.

After seeing the outcry in the community upon the announcement of it shutting down, photographer Sydne Barnett and her husband decided to take over the space and open "Linder & Pine Studios". Together they've breathed their heart and souls into this space to keep it alive and operating for the community.
